What the film says about the rookie quarterback class
Six starts in, the separation between the top three passers is not where the draft board said it would be.

The numbers are close. The tape is not.
Through six starts the three quarterbacks taken in the first 12 picks are within 0.3 yards per attempt of one another. Sort those throws by pressure, though, and the gap opens immediately.
Under four-man rush, the group completes 68 percent. Add a fifth rusher and one passer holds at 63 percent while the other two fall below 48.
That is a processing gap, not an arm-talent gap, and it is the kind of thing that usually closes in year two — but only for quarterbacks whose footwork survives the panic.
